Concert Poster
A ticketed date with no art, which is its own kind of entry. On Wednesday, September 10, 1969, the Incredible String Band -- Robin Williamson and Mike Heron's Scottish outfit, a year on from "The Hangman's Beautiful Daughter" -- played a midweek one-off at Fillmore West, the night before Bill Graham opened his BG-191 weekend with Steve Miller, James Cotton and Keef Hartley. The show is documented by its ticket. What it does not have is a poster, and there is a specific trap here worth naming: the BG-ISBg-1 Pat Hanks String Band sheet that sometimes gets filed against this date belongs to a separate Incredible String Band show on December 10, 1969. It does not attach to this night. Graham ran plenty of midweek bookings that never got a printed card, and this is one of them -- a real show that the poster catalogue simply cannot see.
Verification Notes
antagonist: PASS — bill/date corroborated against chickenonaunicycle per-venue list (refreshed 2026-09-07) plus a second independent source; single-source or wiki-only claims hedged in prose, not asserted. Ticketed midweek one-off. NO confirmed poster — the BG-ISBg-1 Pat Hanks String Band sheet belongs to a separate Dec 10 1969 show and does not attach here. Honest gap: ticketed date without art.
